Five on Friday and This Week in Review #30

Christmas has puked all over the house.  😂  But I love it.  That’s why this Five on Friday post is being done on Saturday.  But since this is my true fashion, you can expect this every now and then.  🤷🏼‍♀️

If you are new here, each Friday (or Saturday in this case), the wifey and I take turns sharing five facts about ourselves.  This all started because I read lots of blogs.  I particularly love it when they share facts about themselves because I feel like I get to know them personally.  I dedicated a special tab at the top to the Five on Friday series, if you want to catch up.  Did you notice this was #30.  You have a lot of reading material.

It’s Deb’s turn.  I didn’t give her enough notice, she said…..  This was her face. 😑

Five on Friday

  1. “I’m happy our garage is done.  I know Danelle has been procrastinating on her duties but it looks so much better.”   (If you follow along on Instagram, you will understand the procrastination.  It was an awful job.)
  2. “Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.  You get together with friends and family and there are no gifts involved.”
  3. “I am so happy that my wife doesn’t like to go Black Friday shopping.  I cannot take the madness of it all.  Too many people.”
  4. I am very thankful for alcohol during this season.”
  5. “I’m so thankful I have a wife that decorates for Christmas so I don’t have to do it.”

You can always tell her “last minute” fives.  They are in the now.  😃

This Week in Review

Well…I have one lone post to review.  But have done lots and lots of other things, I just haven’t written about them.  You will be seeing a flood of Christmas pictures coming soon.  But remember, I only decorate with evergreens and white lights.  🤷🏼‍♀️ Some may say it’s boring….  but I feel with our house being pooped up with lots of collections, it’s best to keep it simple.

I partnered up with Lynch Creek Farm and wrote a post on their beautiful cedar garland that I hung on our stairway banister.  The quality of their products are absolutely beautiful.  I’m so happy for this garland as it comes as a perfect time for our Christmas walk through.  If you want to see this entire stairway landing project, including before pictures of the hoard, you should check it out.  I lived it and still sometimes can’t believe the work we did.  😕

Looking Ahead

I already told you above that I’m going to be flooding you with pictures of our Christmas decor.  Since we are having a Christmas walk through, it’s pretty decked out from what we normally do.   There have been years that we didn’t even decorate. Those were the years we were doing a remodel on one house or another and thought, “screw it.”  It’s just one more thing to do.

Our house looks like a tornado went through it.  And…. you guys aren’t going to believe it.  But remember in the kitchen reveal I hinted around about a few things that needed changed?  Well… one of those happened in the midst of the chaos.  I will be sharing that with you soon, too.  😉

I want to start another room by sharing the laundry room BEFORE pictures, which used to be the office.

I hope all of you had an awesome Thanksgiving.  I know I sure did.  I didn’t even eat much, but just the change in the type of food makes my tummy a little upset for a few days.

Thank you so much for following me along on this journey.  I pledge my love from deep down inside my heart.  Chat with me over on Facebook and Instagram.

Buh bye now, said in an old lady’s voice who LOVES the remote controls that her wifey insisted on buying for the Christmas trees.

P.S.

You guys, seriously… I roll my eyes every time she suggests these things because I say, “Are we too lazy to just plug them in?”  After she gets it set up, I always say, “OMG, how did we live without these?”  I don’t have to crawl behind furniture to plug them in.  Here is what she bought.
