Five on Friday and This Week in Review #39

Welp… it’s Sunday and I’m finally getting around to posting my Five on Friday post.  What the hell is wrong with me?  😫  I’m going to blame Indiana and the gloomy weather.  Oh, I will, also, blame the pothole that me and 14,248 fell into on a major highway this week.  It was raining and no one could avoid them.  I counted eight people with their tires off of their rims in a ten-mile stretch, and one of those potholes completely bent my rim.  This old lady was an unhappy camper.  Thank God I wasn’t stranded though.

Five on Friday

I started my Five on Friday series way back when.  Since I’m a lover of all types of blogs, I’m a fan of getting to know the writer’s personality.  Therefore, each week, Deb and I take turns sharing five things about ourselves that you would never know through reading the blog.  I close with the week in review.  Oh…and I dedicated a special tab at the top of the blog if you want to check them all out.  I’m up today! Five on Friday and This Week in Review #38

Do you like fact that I haven’t posted a Five on Friday for two weeks.  And, that I’m posting a Five on Friday on a Sunday?  So I guess it should really be called Five on Sunday.  ☹️ I seriously haven’t had working brain cells for a couple of weeks.  Ivy’s surgery through me for a total mental loop and gave me brain fog.  (I talk about it briefly in this post.)   I even forgot my dad’s birthday.   Sorry, Dad.  That’s bad, I know.  I wasn’t into anything but sitting on my couch and staring into space.  😢 Continue reading

Five on Friday and This Week in Review #37

Guess what time it is, boys and girls.  It’s time for another Five on Friday and This Week in Review post.  Do these weeks fly by?  I can’t figure out how the weeks fly by, but the evenings go so slow…especially when you are following the Whole 30.  There is no wine, no cheese, no sugar.  Basically all of the delicious things one could catch a buzz on are gone.  😉

Deb and I take turns every Friday sharing five facts about ourselves.  I started this five on friday gig way back when and have just kept it going.  There is a special tab dedicated to this series at the top of the blog if you want to play catch up.  We will follow with this week in review.  I’m up this week. Five on Friday and This Week in Review #36

Here we are again.  And what a week it’s been.  Lots and lots of personal things going on along with clients, etc.  So, therefore, this Five on Friday and This Week in Review post is late once again.  But not surprising.

Five on Friday

Every Friday Deb and I take turns sharing five facts about ourselves.  I love reading blogs when the writer talks personal stuff.  So, I started this series way back in the olden days and have only missed a few weeks.  There is a special tab at the top of the blog where they are all filed if you are interested in reading the older ones.  It’s Deb’s turn.  The last time Deb shared five, she was feeling “T”.  Remember? 😂  What the hell? Continue reading

Five on Friday and This Week in Review #35

Hey guys…it’s Saturday. And I’m a day behind for this weeks Five on Friday. That’s absolutely not shocking to anyone, I’m assuming.  😐

We’ve been busy working on our fireplace project. I haven’t said anything on the blog yet, but if you follow me on Instagram, you already know this.  We had a large crack in the plaster above our fireplace that was pushing the mantel away from the wall.  Of course, I figured our entire fireplace was caving in because my mind likes to take things to the worst possible scenario.  And then I started to believe it would cost $1.5 million dollars to repair because I would have to call in the big guys.  We recently started tearing into the wall and realized it was only the plaster that was cracked with no structural damage.  Thank you, baby Jesus.
